containing data for June 2026 - In June 2026, dry natural gas production increased year over year for the 15th straight month. Preliminary dry natural gas production in June 2026 was 3,370 billion cubic feet (Bcf), or 112.33 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d). Production was 4.5% (4.83 Bcf/d) higher in June 2026 than in June 2025 (107.50 Bcf/d). Daily dry natural gas production was the highest for any month since 1973, the earliest year in this dataset. Gross withdrawals also increased from June 2025: - **Gross withdrawals:** 4,065 Bcf for the month, or 135.50 Bcf/d - A 4.1% increase compared with June 2025 (130.17 Bcf/d) - Highest daily rate for the month of June since 1980, the earliest year in this dataset - Estimated natural gas consumption in June 2026 was 2,433 Bcf, or 81.10 Bcf/d - A 0.7% increase compared with June 2025 (80.53 Bcf/d) - Highest daily rate for the month of June since 2001, the earliest year in this dataset - The year-over-year average daily rate of dry natural gas consumption in June 2026 increased in two of the four consuming sectors and decreased in the other two sectors. Natural gas deliveries by consuming sector in June 2026 were: - **Residential deliveries:** 126 Bcf for the month, or 4.20 Bcf/d - A 3.0% decrease compared with June 2025 (4.33 Bcf/d) - **Commercial deliveries:** 156 Bcf for the month, or 5.20 Bcf/d - A 0.6% increase compared with June 2025 (5.17 Bcf/d) - Highest daily rate of commercial deliveries for the month of June since 1973, the earliest year in this dataset. - **Industrial deliveries:** 679 Bcf for the month, or 22.63 Bcf/d - A 3.7% increase compared with June 2025 (21.83 Bcf/d) - Highest daily rate of industrial deliveries for the month of June since 2001, the earliest year in this dataset. - **Electric power deliveries:** 1,199 Bcf for the month, or 39.97 Bcf/d - A 1.0% decrease compared with June 2025 (40.37 Bcf/d) - Net natural gas exports (exports minus imports) were 597 Bcf, or 19.90 Bcf/d, in June 2026. This net export daily volume was the highest for the month of June, and the second highest for any month, since we began tracking net trade in 1973. The United States exported 3.6 times more natural gas than it imported in June 2026, as natural gas imports decreased while exports increased year over year: - **Total natural gas imports:** 227 Bcf for the month, or 7.57 Bcf/d - A 7.7% decrease compared with June 2025 (8.20 Bcf/d) - Lowest daily rate of natural gas imports for the month of June since 2021 - **Total natural gas exports:** 824 Bcf for the month, or 27.47 Bcf/d - A 19.1% increase compared with June 2025 (23.07 Bcf/d) - Highest daily rate of natural gas exports for the month of June since we began tracking them in 1973 - **Liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports:** The daily rate of LNG exports in June 2026 was 28.4% higher than the daily rate in June 2025, the highest rate for the month of June since we began tracking LNG exports in 1997.
